(CNN) — A Newfoundland man has been charged after a raid on his home turned up dozens of the man’s “child sex dolls,” according to court documents released Wednesday.

Police in Plaster Rock, the coastal town near the Gulf of St. Lawrence, said 36-year-old Wayne Williams was arrested last week in connection with a child pornography case.

The documents indicate that they executed a search warrant at Williams’ home and found “abundant images of child sexual abuse imagery.”

“(They found) 82 (three-foot-tall) miniature sex dolls and multiple images of child sexual abuse,” the court documents state.

Williams is charged with the possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and breach of bail conditions.

Court documents show that he is due in court later this month. He has not entered a plea.

Police declined to comment on the alleged sex dolls or discuss the specifics of the charges against Williams.

Other papers in the record state that an unidentified woman and male child have been identified by police in connection with the case. They asked for the public’s help in identifying the woman.

While some people might consider having sex with dolls as disturbing, people such as the doll collector often portray them as an adult version of a children’s toy.

In 2015, CNN’s Tom Foreman profiled a fetish for making and using child sex dolls. He discovered an estimated 12,000 these dolls worldwide, and documented them in “The Sex Doll Diaries.”
