It’s a modern Qatar and among the future superstar stadiums is Al Sadd, which is modern because it houses a world-class soccer stadium. Once the World Cup Final is over, it will be razed. The main stadium will be built next door so that there will be three huge pitches to hold many games. The government, which is being criticized for its treatment of workers hired for the 2022 World Cup, says it will take charge of workers as much as possible to give them security.

But as Americans know, football isn’t the only sport the country excels at. Sunday’s FIFA World Cup Final between France and Croatia featured a high-powered field of soccer.

The event, as seen on the official FIFA social media channels, was shot in 4K – or Ultra HD. It was also shot with F5s, or Canon 5D Mark IIs.

Many of the players wore a special Hat embroidered with “DC, USA” on their shirts.

The German midfielder, Leroy Sane, wore a hat with “Luther Etheredge”, a teammate who traveled to Qatar to play for the national team.

In the end, France defeated Croatia in the final 2-1 and won the 2018 FIFA World Cup. There were 13.5 million viewers in the U.S. The event generated $8.8 billion in total broadcast revenue and 8.7 billion in revenue for 30 days.

Because many of the viewers watched from their home, however, almost all of them were watching on a TV. There were also internet viewing numbers, although the release of those numbers was not included in the post.

The hashtag #2016WWCQatar generated 132 tweets from U.S. English-language reporters.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, spoke at a roundtable with FOXSports.com after the final.
