One day, I will be in a place that will have a Gucci store.
To be clear, I don’t know if a Gucci store will actually be located in my lifetime. It’s entirely possible that it will never be located anywhere for me to be in. I doubt that any time in the next five hundred years will I ever be in a space that has a Gucci store within it for me to look at. A thousand years later, I would like to be in one, but more than likely I wouldn’t be there much of the time. So I’m taking it for granted that I will be in a place that has a Gucci store.
Right now, though, my assumption is that I will be in a place that has a Gucci store. The same way that I would have assumed that I would never see a Gucci store for myself in Los Angeles. I wouldn’t have assumed that, and I would be just as certain of this as I would be about the absence of a Ferrari or a Rolls Royce for me to be driving. As much as I love driving anything fast, or just any thing in general, I wouldn’t have assumed that I would be driving a car in the world of car design and technology. It’s simply inconceivable to me that I would be driving a car that people might want to buy.
But in my lifetime, I will probably be driving one. I’ll be driving it for the better part of my life. I will probably buy it one day, but I’ll buy it after I know something about it for sure. I will own a Gucci in my lifetime.
And on the days when I am driving my Gucci, I will be in awe of the cars that Gu
