Weather Forecasters: Don’t Call

Light rain coming to Southern California, with much colder temps and mountain snow later this week, said Jeff Martin, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

If you don’t see rain for the next 24 hours or so, “don’t call,” he said.

Tornado warnings remain in effect all day for the East Valley and the San Gabriel Mountains.

If you have a safe place to shelter from a thunderstorm, Martin said, “stay in a basement or a closet.”
