‘Shadows’ cast faces foiled dreams, failed businesses and a coming out story. But all the cast have returned for the next chapter.
The only thing that’s kept the cast from getting back together is the cast’s reluctance to do so.
“I’ve never been a part of a show that was this good, and it really feels like it was a team just kind of put together,” says “Shadows”‘ star Michael Pitt as he returns to the show where he began his career two seasons ago.
And while he says he is honored that he has been given a chance to reprise his roles in “Once Upon a Time” and “Shadows.”
“I have nothing but pride and respect for what they do, and I think that’s the great thing about the cast,” he says.
The actor explains that when he first read the script, he was instantly drawn to the characters in both series.
“I read the scripts with excitement, and like a kid, I was like, ‘Ooh, I want to be a part of this amazing show,’” he says. “And then it occurred to me, I’m actually in this show. It’s about me and my brother, and we did that. So I really thought about what it’s about, and then I realized we’re family. And the characters are all family.”
So while the cast says there was a strong push to keep them together, Pitt says it made them realize that they all need to work at it.
“It just was the right thing to do to reunite,” he says. “In terms of [reuniting] to the fans, you know, it’s definitely a blessing and a dream, for sure, for the fans and a chance for us to be able to do something that we’ve never done before; it just felt like a family.
“It just kind of, we’re just one big family. And we want to do what’s best for our friends, our families, and what’s best for the show and for ourselves and what’s best for our careers.”
The show airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
