(Reuters) – Oprah Winfrey will not attend the annual “So You Think You Can Dance” season finale on Saturday, opting to spend Saturday instead promoting her “Legacy” reality show, the network said on Thursday.

The show, which ran for over a decade on ABC, helped build the network into one of the top-rated cable channels, but the “O” singer was not one of its biggest stars.

With Winfrey having lost her home of Chicago to Oprah’s media empire in 2011, she left “DWLSD,” which was revived on Netflix earlier this year, to create a new series, “Legacy.”

Winfrey’s decision does not prevent her from returning to “DWLSD” for future years, although she is still the host.
